My Latest Project

I apologize for largely abandoning you, podomatic listeners. I've been dabbling in the live online radio side of the new media spectrum lately and busy planning something. I am currently seeking partners in an ambitious new project I have in development, in which I will travel to a city or town in each state to meet the local Occupy group, interview their members and take part in events with them whenever possible. As I travel the country I will make updates on my journey available in the form of frequent blog entries, social media postings and podcast episodes and I will conduct a weekly online radio show, discussing my journey with callers and playing excerpts from selected interviews.

Your donations will be greatly appreciated, though just spreading the word will help greatly, as well. Your support is more than welcome in whatever form it may take.

Episode 03: The Cons' Jobs Con
Explicit
June 12, 2011 08:30 PM PDT

"Greetings, friends. I hope you're sitting uncomfortably, be it on your sofa, armchair or beanbag... if that's how you choose to live your life." In this episode I focus on the myth of high income and business tax breaks creating jobs, class civil war and the Progressive Podcast Network. (And yes, I know it's supposed to be "fewer workers." Shut up and be glad I got another episode posted.) I just remembered that I'm on iTunes, and my smarter half informs me that a fan has created a Facebook page for the show, too. I don't have an account there anymore, and I can't find any reference to it in Google searches, but maybe you'll have better luck if you're logged on there.

Episode 02: PTSD Never Really Goes Away

I had been planning an entirely different set of topics, but I had a bit of a breakdown again. PTSD is not something that just goes away, I've learned. I'd been coping pretty well for a few years, but I now know that I probably wasn't doing it intentionally. My apologies.

Episode 01: Getting the Ball Rolling

I offer kudos (and an instance of condolences) to Republicans (and their conservative allies among the Libertarians and DLC Democrats), talk about how “kick their ass, take their gas” is abjectly stupid and give my thoughts on the death of Osama bin Laden. I also make a suggestion for Summer and a subtle form of progressive action and talk again about one of my favorite songs of all time. You can comment or contact me at anendlesswar.com.

For those of you who who worried that you’d never get a “Morning Remembrance” for bin Laden after Morning Sedition was canceled, here's a link to the site where Jim Earle continues that comedy bit.

Episode 00: Where Was I?

This podcast is a continuation of my original work, "Watch it Burn", which was begun in the Spring of 2006 while I was deployed to LSA Anaconda in Balad, Iraq. A lot has happened since I stopped recording that show. I'm trying to figure out what's wrong with my Audacity settings that's giving me that "too hollow" quality to the sound when it exports to mp3. Please bear with me, and if you have some advice I'd appreciate it.
